A highly regarded expert in Swiss and international tax matters, Dr Maute began his career in tax management for the Swiss canton of Thurgau, before entering the Swiss court service. He has since then had an international tax management career spanning nearly thirty years. He is Pluteos’s principal adviser to clients concerning forensic financial investigations and asset tracing.
A graduate (Hochschule St. Gallen) and doctor in law, Dr Maute has additional qualification in accountancy, and taxation, including a master’s in International Tax Law from Liechtenstein University. Currently a lecturer at the University of Zurich in International Tax Law, he has previously taught at the Swiss Academy for Tax Education and Auditing and the Institute for Financial Services (IFZ), in Zug.
